Hi all
My Mother's DMC have decided to do an annual review (first time I've heard of this in 5 years) and have requested that she sends copies of her Mortgage Statement and three recent Bank Statements to them in order that they can carry out this review. Are we legally required to provide this information to them? What can/will happen if we refuse?
Thank you for your help.

Hi
A DMP is an informal arrangement so it’s not a legal requirement to supply those kinds of documents. It may well be in the terms of any agreement she signed with the DMP provider though, so it may be cancelled if she doesn’t agree.
I’d recommend that she changes to a free DMP provider such as Stepchange if she isn’t with them already.

Good advice from James, your not legally required to share anything with these 3rd party companies, I`m assuming its a fee taking DMC she is with ?
She should really swop to Stepchange, who are a free debt charity, and will not charge a fee for administering a DMP.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
