Gymophobics?

Has anyone used Gymophobics?

It's supposed to be a new concept in gyms involving 30 minutes of exercise, 3 days or more a week.

It's quite expensive as gyms go.

Three times a week (or more) walk or run for 15 mins away from your house then turn around and come back.

It's quite free as exercise goes.
  • I keep seeing different labels to get people into gyms or workout classes. My friend is now into exercise as she is 'a warrior'. There's another that is a gym that's dance classes but they say it's the blokes gym. If it helps get people to classes it's worth it but they are all aiming for the same to get people toned up and get fitter.

You need to find something you will keep up and enjoy doing. I don't mind going to the gym as I can drift off in my own little world. I enjoy Aqua class when I can go on Tuesday's as although there all at least 25 years older than me they always make me feel welcome. And I like Thursday's dance class as its a good laugh and a good workout.

It's not new - I used our local one five years ago and it had been there for some years before I joined.

There are also several franchises around that work the same way so, if you like what they offer, see if any others are cheaper.

There is a circuit of machines which work different parts of the body and you have five minutes on each machine.

The gym is women-only and ours has a very diverse range of members from the reasonably fit to the elderly and disabled. Not as intimidating as a 'normal' gym.
