nappy cake - I need some help

I want to make a nappy cake for my daughter but I want three tiers and can't work out how to put in together so that the tiers don't fall apart, any ideas anyone ??

I always wrap something around the outside of the nappies to hold it all togather

Elastic bands, then use a blanket to wrap around to hide them. Works really well.
