Eserv down valuation

Just had a valuation back from Woolwich. We offered asking price of £300k valuation came back £284k. Wondering what to do next. I don't think the owners will budge on price... What implications will this have? Is it rare? I'm in the South East btw

That's a requirement of any lender. If it was a valuation only service. Then the surveyor was working for the lender not you. The report of which you are provided a copy highlights issues which impact the properties value. Hence the lenders request that you posted earlier.

The lender also wants a timber & damp survey and structural roof survey. More costs for us.
