Making a Wheat Bag?

Hi,
I want to make a wheat bag to relieve neck & shoulder stiffness. I wonder if a 'wheat' bag can be make using rice or some other alternative?
I have several part packets of, for instance, lentils, split peas, rice, etc. Could I use these instead? They're leftovers from last winter's soupmaking.
Thanks for any tips/suggestions.

I use rice for wheat bags, I also add some dried lavender and a little lavender oil. Microwave for a minute or so making sure you have a small pot of water in the microwave with the wheat wrap.
I haven't had any problems using rice.

Thank you, especially for the tip about the water - I wasn't aware of that.0 -
I have made a number of heat bags using pearl barley. Bags are about 12 x 5 inches and use about 750g. Heat for max of 2 mins. Don't use pot of water.0
