Just looking through the br posts.
My oh was declared br March 09 and discharged Jan 10. We are trying to finnd a lender that would consider the br alongside Shared Ownership. We have a 25% deposit for the property we are interested in but stumbling looking for a mortgage.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Has your OH checked his credit files and made sure that they are all clean?
The BR should have dropped off but are there any defaults/CCJs that were dated after the BR?
If there are, then they will need to be sorted to give you the best chance.
There are quite a few people who have obtained mortgages after BR so it's more than possible but I don't know anything about shared ownership.
I'm sure someone will be along to advise soon.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

We had one default that we have had successfully removed. I think it is just finding a lender that considers br and sbared ownershipTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
