What are my chances of getting a mortgage?
I would like to buy a 1 br flat around London commuting areas for 200k with a 10% deposit.
I have no history of late payments anywhere, however I only have a short credit history in the UK (only 2 years). EU passport.

I am full time employed, way past my probation time...

Is it going to be impossible?

There will be lenders who it will fit with (although fitting and being accepted can be miles apart). Its definitely not one for every lender and I think it would be a good idea to speak to a broker to improve your chances.

Thank you! What else would improve my chances? I am on the electoral roll already, got a credit card, got my credit card credit extended (they did, I didn't ask).
Would it make any difference to buy with 11% deposit? :D

Some lenders won't lend until you have three year residence in UK.

You should be fine with the ones who will lend and a broker will establish which is best for you of those.
