Hello! Lovely shiny new thread!
Good luck on your journey. Your SOA looks good as it stands, but I'm guessing there is quite a bit missing.
4 years is a great goal ( OH reaching 40!)
Do you have plans for post MF ?
It doesn't sound like you struggle to stay motivated, but planning and thinking about what you might achieve once you own the roof over your head can help you stay on track when you are prone to stray.....
Will follow with interest

Thanks Luckyinlife
I agree, sometimes a house just needs money to be spent on it. Not only to increase the equity but also because its your home.
Its just a case of not getting carried away I suppose.
Totally agree with you iv been looking at the market in my area and a good 90% of houses that come up for sale need renovating to modern day standards
i get carried away with quality materials is my problem but as long as its manageable why not we are only here once and home is priceless :]
ill follow your journey with interest good luck :]Mortgage--- [STRIKE]£67700 March 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65221 April 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64983 July 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64780 sept 15[/STRIKE] Remortgage [STRIKE]£67295 oct 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£66599 Nov 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65878.73 Dec 15[/STRIKE][STRIKE] £64834 1st Jan 16[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Feb 16 £64,511.89[/STRIKE][STRIKE] March 16 £64,056.40[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]April 16 £62550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]May 16 £62,396.20[/STRIKE] Feb 17 £60.800

Can anyone make a nice tasting meal for less?
Challenge accepted!
Slow cooker vegetarian (bean) chilli can't cost more than £1.50 for two people (well, assuming you have access to dried beans and a few seasonings):- 3x100g of different dried beans, rehydrated
- 2 onions, carrots, sticks of celery, cloves of garlic
- Can of chopped toms
- Little oil, chilli flakes, salt pepper, dried oregano, cumin, cocoa powder/couple squares of chocolate and splash of Worcerstershire sauce
- A little water
Interested to hear more about how and why you want to be more ethical and green - it made it into your title and then fell off the radar a little0 -
Without choosing individual shares to invest in, I suspect that it will be very difficult to find banks or funds that invest 'ethically'. For me, the main problem is that it is difficult to find a company whose interpretation of what is ethical/right matches our own, subjective views. For example, many SRI (socially responsible investment) funds may well avoid weapons manufacturers, but it doesn't stop them buying shares in tobacco companies, or oil majors involved in the extraction of some of the dirtiest fuels on the planet!0

Hi aznlayer,
When you break it down like that it really doesn't seem too bad. Especially if you don't tend to do a top-up shop mid-week as this is where it becomes expensive and possibly wasteful.
Like you said fresh fruit and veg costs more than convenience and junk food in my opinion anyway
