First Direct Mortgages

We're in the process of moving and I'm now looking into sorting the mortgage out.
Currently with The Woolwich current deal has ended so can swap with no fees.
Looking at a 5 year fixed rate with First Direct.
Has anyone had any issues with them or little surprises (hidden fees)?
Good or bad points welcome!

We have had all of our banking and our current account plus s mortgage with them for over ten years. I can't fault them, always had great service. However, we are in the process of moving and they couldn't offer us anything near what we needed despite the fact that we are definitely not over stretching ourselves and we have no debt apart from our mortgage.
They are very very picky. we thought the obvious place to start was our own bank who know our finances but it appears not.Determined to save and not squander!
