Have been given a big carrier bag ful of plums. Some I've open frozen in halves to bag up, and will be making jam but want to try oven drying some. Anybody ever tried it? Does it concentrate the flavour as happens with oven dried tomatoes ? Are they best dried plain or sprinkled with something like cinnamon?
Do dried Victorias end up looking/tastirng like prunes or because they're a lighter coloured plum do they look/taste different when they're dried?

Hi Primrose ,it takes 24 hours to dry plums in my dehydrator at 135 f. Can be done in less time by pressing out the juice and they come out more dry than shop bought prunes.0
