Joint mortgage to single mortgage help?

To keep a long story short. My ex partner and I have recently got a joint mortgage prior to the relationship ending. We concluded missives last week and a few days later we ended.
Our mortgage is the second application. The first one was declined due to his online gambling.
I have decided to go for the mortgage myself. I do have a car on finance and a sofa in finance but that is it. I have no debt now. I got a affordability check for £3000 more than the mortgage itself. It's with the same bank and my mortgage advisor has removed my ex partners name from the application.
I'm in Scotland. Does anyone have any experience in thus? Or know the likelihood if I would get accepted? The first bank had said I wasn't the problem it was the ex and my mortgage advisor doesn't think that there would be an issue but I'm very concerned as otherwise we have to go through with the sale and then resell.
