I did some shopping at asda a couple of weeks ago. I thought I'd just check asdapriceguarantee-so pleased I did. I actually got a voucher worth over £9. So it's printed off ready for when I next go there to shop. :jGE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hi Tattycath, sorry I haven't been around much lately.
That's an amazing voucher from Asda! I thought I was doing well when I got one recently for £1.76.
With the weight-loss/getting-fit thing - you are quite right to take it slowly. Just gradually change your ways so that it becomes a new way of life, rather than making yourself feel hungry and deprived.
Also, when tempted to eat some rubbishy stuff, do the 5-minute rule: Wait 5 minutes and then tell yourself that if you'd eaten whatever it was, it would be gone by now anyway. If you still crave it, dream up something to distract yourself for 15 minutes. Usually that's long enough for the craving to pass.

Hi peaceandfreedom.
Yes, I've tired the cutting back for a few days and then going back to normal and that doesn't work. I'm now making healthier choices and watching portion control.
Today I had egg and beans on toast for lunch. Before, I would have buttered the toast, loads of beans, fried egg...
Today, I put no butter on the toast, only half a tin of beans and poached the egg. So I was pretty impressed with myself. I have even started to eat breakfast. I had a small bowl of porridge. I had sweetener in my coffee earlier, and it tasted fine. So I'm optomistic that I've got off to a good start.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Sometimes I get so engrossed in my work that I lose track of time.
Tonight was one of those occasions. I've got a lot more stuff to sort out than I thought. It's a double edged sword. On the one hand, it means that it is going to take a lot longer than I had planned.
On the other hand the financial rewards should be far greater than I had planned too.the tax man will be rubbing his hands either way!
Right. To bed. Lots to do tomorrow.GE 36 *MFD may 2043
