Help please! One of my eyebrows is going bald, started as a small bit a few weeks ago but now really noticeable. No idea of what's causing it but what can I use to try covering the 'gap'?

Go to your gp and ask for blood tests to be done. If its an outer edge of your brow it could be your thyroidIf you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

Thanks for the advice Ali-t, it's the middle of brow, looks weird lol.0

Castor oil helps regrowth, you can try it. There are number of eyebrow pens you can purchase. Benefit has good ones but a bit pricey. Sleek also has a good one. However I'd still talk to a GP to see if it is normal.ally.0

Probably not your thyroid then. Have you ever used the gosh makeup range from superdrug? They do brow pens that are felt pens and work really well. They are great for putting coverage on gaps and you can either add hair strokes with a pencil or depth with a powder to make it more natural looking. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

I have very light coloured brows and discovered online tutorials for eyebrows that were really helpful - I especially liked this one - it's more extreme than either of us need but gives you all the basic principles of what to do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4lajZWeEyE
It is probably worth checking in with a medic just in case though if there's no obvious reason for your eyebrow starting to lose hair.0 -
I've got sparse brows (hypothyroid) and use all sorts of tricks to make them look thicker. Something I'm loving at the mo is benefit's 'gimme brow' in light /medium. It apparently has fibres that stick to hair or skin and give the appearance of thicker brows. Works well if a little pricey.
'More brows' by model in light/medium is the same as the benefit one
'Brow drama' in med brown is by Maybeline, also good and cheaper but the brush is bigger which for me makes it a bit harder to use easily.

I have really sparse brows due to thyroid probs and premature menopause.. The 2 things I use are the Anastasia Brow Wizz : http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/anastasiabeverlyhills/browwiz/
and this eyebrow wax kit from E.L.F:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/E-L-F-Elf-Eyebrow-Kit-Gel-Powder-Medium-Fuller-Thicker-Brows-Shapes-Sets-/151752976523?hash=item23552ea88b
the wax is really good but the powder, not great but I use an eyeshadow to fill in the rest. If I'm in a hurry I just use the tinted brow wax .Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE0 -
Bumping this as disaster has struck...my favourite eyebrow pencil has been discontinued. I need something that looks natural but don't get on with powders, which seem to slip or smudge. I've stopped using anything recently, but look a bit "faded" IYKWIM.
My hair is dark, but thin and sparse on the ground. Anything to heavy looks awful and I'm reluctant to try something new once and then ditch it because it looks so terrible (this has happened with expensive products before). I'd like to change my eyebrow look from this:
to something a little more like this:
So which is the best product to achieve this look? Sleek, GOSH, Benefit, Gimme Brow, or Anastasia?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

If you go to Benefit counter they will let you to try and help to decide. I use gimme brow and happy with it. However I also have thick, full eyebrows naturally. Above is not only using a pen but also the way she has shaped her eyebrows.ally.0

I have sparse hairs on the outside of my brows and have had hypothyroidism for over 6 years (on Levothyroxine). I didn't know there was a connection; assuming it was part of the general body hair reduction that comes with age.0
