HELP Confused about facebook

Thought I had it sorted but it seems I'm still not using facebook comps correctly.

PLEASE CAN YOU TELL ME IN THE SIMPLIST TERMS:

In a facebook comp do I always SHARE or do I only do it when it is stated. I am concerned that I am cluttering my facebook page and yet I do not want to spend time doing competitions if the people who put them on are not aware of my entry if I haven't shared. ALSO.... if it just states to like the post is that enough or does it expect you to carry on and comment and share even if they don't state this......... getting very disheartened, please advise!

. I'm on facebook in a group who do hundreds of comps yet hardly any come onto my facebook page and I don't understand why, one said something about the need to change security status on a regular basis but this means nothing to me and as I said ost of the people on my timeline don't do them hand hate the clutter of all my "shares" on theirs.

I started a new Facebook page just for competitions (I spelt my name differently & used a different prefix to my e-mail address) I think this is what a lot of people do. That way you can share away without bothering friends. That said I haven't won anything yet but always hopeful that I will �� Good luck! X
