Best solution for retirement?

For a awhile, I've been searching for a retirement option that would fit my need perfectly, but then I realized, does that really exist? Don't count on it.
There are however some pretty good options.
the advice I seek is that I've been with a firm now thats pays me about 5% on my invested amount and they've been doing that for about 2 years now. I have about 20k with them, so each year I walk away with 12k. Thats not bad for me right now but, I was wondering if any one knew anyone who provides better returns to take me into retirement with a reputation as good as who I'm with.
Any feedback would be good so feel free to comment. Thanks guys.

Wow, what a waste of effort creating these 4 user id's and then logging on to do a post then logoff then back on with a different id to ask for more information. I can't wait to see what financial scam they're working up to.
I doubt it'll be anything spectacularly intelligent though because the numpty's already getting mixed up with which of his logon's to use - he posted the first question with his bloombergpro logon to post the his first statement about this amazing "opportunity", then answers his second user's question of "who are you with" with the wrong id (solidasarock).
You have to wonder just how dumb the people are who fall for these scams when the scammers are as stupid as this guy!! :rotfl:Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

impossible to consistantly produce returns of 60% pa - legally. it could be done for a couple of years by also returning capital."The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

All the logins at the top at Aug 07 are the same person. SPAM/SCAM and something else beginning with S.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Sewerage?
I know very little of finanical matters, but enough to spot spam/scam from the first post.0 -
a compound interest rate of 60% per annum would mean that £20,000 invested today would be worth £27,000,000,000 (£27trillion) in 30 years time."The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

i think we all realised this was a very bad attempt at attracting people to their dubious website. the figures i gave are genuine for a 60% pa return compounded for 30 years."The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
