Looking to buy house went via broker. Got me a two year fix at 2.14% goes to 3.99% after two years. Lender even told about a ccj and default before application. Received my dip. So can start process I know things can still go wrong but delighted to be considered even with past problems. Have to pay a 15% deposit plus usual fees.:j:j:j:beer:

Excellent news, can I ask what lender that was with? How long ago were you defaults?0

Its funny, the amount of people I speak to who are calling up expecting the answer to be no chance and the reality is a lot of the time adverse can be overcome.
Some times it is at high street rates, sometimes marginally above and sometimes a couple of percent out (although a lot of the time 2% is not a huge amount extra each month).
Its definitely worth looking in to, if the answer is no it has not cost you anything to find out.
I can think of a few examples where I have seen IVAs and Bankruptcies placed at high street rates. The same goes for CCJs and defaults. A decent broker can try to pair your situation up with a lender that it fits with.
Congratulations though, its always positive to see success stories.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
