Which point (in a comp) do you give up?

Options
If you're attempting to enter a competition at which point do you think "stuff this one, I'm not entering"?

Seeing the number of ways to enter on a Rafflecopter competition is over 30!

Despite trying over a dozen times and knowing it is correct the CAPTCHA code still insists you've entered the wrong code.

Interesting question :) It's a toughie for me though. Sometimes I think, that's enough, stuff it. But other times I think, I've invested too much time on this to give up now.

tell us why you deserve to win.....
there is always going to be someone whose dog/wife/mum/tortoise/hamster just died; someone whose disabled child needs it (granted i would prefer it to go to a deserving needy disabled person over me, so there is no point me arguing that point anyway); anyway there is always someone more needy/deserving/creative than I, so i tend not to bother

the worst kind of competitions. people trying to out-do each other in the 'woe' stakes to win a phone or an amazon voucher. really hate those competitions

    :(

Rafflecopter where comment is the 1 compulsory option to unlock the rest of the entry methods - if the prize is a bit low value. That one's definitely a 'would have entered, but can't be bothered now.

Rafflecopters where the person setting it up hasn't been able to set up the links to IG/BL/TW/FB/PIN/YouTube etc correctly.
  • I find the ones where you have to find an object on a website so addictive (this is not going to beat me LOL) UNTIL i GIVE UP OR COME ON HERE FOR THE ANSWER!

i entered a Rafflecopter comp last year for a Now TV box. not too difficult, just a retweet each day, but it got to over 5000 entries and for the last week or so of the comp i didn't bothered entering .... and I won! :D

i've employed the same tactic since, but it hasn't paid off yet ;)
  • if I auto fill and it won't accept I will type manually once and if it won't accept verify code i'll listen to it other wise i'll move on unless I really want to win it in which case i'll save web address and try another day.
as for Rafflecopter I will visit site, add on twitter but once I have one or two entries that's it.
I don't share many on facebook.
there are so many comps I don't want to be wasting 10 mins entering one comp.

I give up when you cannot opt out of marketing and have to put a phone number in. Especially if it is marketing not only from the company running the promotion, but also other people too.

ETA - I'm on the point of giving up on the Belvoir Bagatelle too, unless I get a solution in answer to the question I have posted separately about that one. It is just so frustrating when it doesn't work!

I'm afraid I give up very easily :o Sometimes wish I had more patience, I tend just to move on when I have to spend time on individual competitions.....Probably why I don't win much.

when it asks you to follow about 6 other people on twitter, I'm always at my limit & regram - I haven't a clue how to do this & as I don't use a smart phone I don't think I can
