Mortgage prisoner- Help!
Comments
-
OP - I'm in a similar position but luckily with Nationwide. I know the feeling ( my mortgage is £275000 tho ! ) I am on benefits after being injured at work. It's a scary place - my time is running out unless I can get a job
Are there no mortgages that take into account benefits ? Presume you receive DLA and enhanced tax credits, carers allowance etc ? That can amount to a decent amount and the " equivalent " amount if earning it in a salary can be £35,000 plus - did your broker search everywhere ?Stuck on the carousel in Disneyland's Fantasyland

Mortgage is repayment and I would like to keep it that way.
We get dla x2, enhanced tax credits and I get carers- we are actually fairly well off (although I am aware my children's needs are likely to get more expensive)
Some providers take a percentage into account apparently.
Also- I have read affordability checks aren't necessary if you are having a dofferent product from the same provider so maybe nationwide will be able to help you?0
