In what shape and size have the crisps been cut? ;)

Do Sonday pay VAT on their biscuits?

(Bad luck, Scotland. Oatcakes and rolls instead of crisps and Jaffa cakes.)
  • The lamb sounds nice. I might try the lamb.

The most yummy, scrummy crisps :)

This size pack is great to share amongst 4. Sadly all too easily scoffed by one (moi).

Probably a really stupid question but how do you know what your area number is?

I've never had lamb shank before, might buy a couple to try. I'm assuming it's along the lines of braised beef in texture.

properly slow cooked , it should just flake away from the bone without much cutting effort

Just to say that the crisps in my local store this morning were a disappointing 3 flavours: lightly salted, sea salt and balsamic vinegar, and sea salt and cracked peppercorn.

    At 39p though who's complaining? :D

I might pop in for a cheeky Jaffa cake ... however, my local store is usually stripped bare of most of the food I go in for (regular and specials), so not in any hurry to bust a gut for them.

I went in for oven chips just yesterday - whole freezer was entirely empty of any potato/chip products and all frozen veggies. Most of the other shelves were also only stocked with empty boxes where products used to exist. Eggs, too, usually run out by lunchtime (they get one pallet/day).

Last week when I went in for their half price stuff (24 crisps) and found the entire shelf was empty, I thought "I know, I'll rush in in the morning when they'll have restocked"... no such chance, shelf was still empty.

It's not a shop I can ever rely on for "just in time" shopping. Even frozen chips I have to think ahead 2-3 weeks to make sure I keep an eye out and always have "the next bag" in my freezer ...which isn't convenient.

I think they struggle to get stuff through Calais - that was the excuse they were using 4-5 weeks ago when nearly the whole shop was empty of anything.
