I am planning my brother's wedding and would welcome ideas to keep the cost as low as possible :A

He could do what I did for my first wedding: get married in a registry office in Scotland. If I remember correctly, it cost just under £100.

It's no different to any other sort of wedding - They decide where they want the ceremony then find a venue they like fairly close by.

In what way do you see a gay wedding as any different -and why are you planning it and not your brother and his fiance ? Surely they know what they want for their special day ?

I do not see it as any different. I was asked by my brother to plan it for him.

Get searching online for discounts and offers wherever you can for things like flowers, suit hire and table decorations.

You can also ring up local venues for clearing options (where weddings have been cancelled last minute) You can sometimes find reduced rates if you're willing to be flexible with dates or the location.

Grow your own flowers, make your own cake and have the wedding party do their own hair and make up to save money.
