Corbynomics: A Dystopia

Talk to people from the Irish tradition and they speak warmly of McDonnell. These are not terrorist sympathisers by the way.....but as I said people from the Irish tradition!
Good for them. I wish our friends from the Irish tradition the very best in their non-IRA supporting future.
They are clearly misguided when it comes to Mr McDonnell who seems quite partial to a terrorist or two. I do fear we are getting off the subject of what a screwball My Corbyn is when it comes to economics while discussing what a screwball he is when it comes to terrorism.
Perhaps someone could start a new thread:
Corbyn: Terrorist Sympathiser or Nut Job?
or both I suppose.0 -

Yep I agree some of us like the world to be simple don't they. I can see I'm wasting my time! :rotfl:
I'm merely trying to steer the thread back on topic.
Obviously you're a bit embarrassed about your new friends' dodgy mates but you're trying to make the best of it and that is to your credit.
Anyway, about Corbynomics. Stupid or dangerous? I think both.0 -
Just so happens they're in power though now....so yes it must be complicated.....but carry on believing otherwise if it helps!
I'm from that Irish tradition you mention. Even had active republicans in the family. Also had a friend killed in a nail bomb attack. Doesn't matter if scumbags get legitimised, they always will be murdering scumbags. You think whatever you like.0 -
Have Corbyn at al claimed that they were acting quasi-officially on behalf of the UK Government? .. If so has it been confirmed?
I don't think so but maybe I missed it.
In the meantime I can only interpret this reported quote from McDonnell
“It's about time we started honouring those people involved in the armed struggle. It was the bombs and bullets and sacrifice made by the likes of Bobby Sands that brought Britain to the negotiating table. The peace we have now is due to the action of the IRA.”
as the words if an apologist rather than someone who abhors terrorism.Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0 -

Incidentally try being a bit less partial regarding Jezza and it may be easier to steer the thread back on topic.;)0 -

on the economic front
why don't we print money and build say 2,000,000 new homes over say the next 3/4 years?
inflation is low and stable
previous versions of QE don't seem to have had any adverse reaction on the pound0
