Keep being banned from twitter!?

I set up a twitter a few years back to enter the twitter competitions but after not too long when i tried to log in it said i had been blocked for being a spammer
I set up another one with my 2nd email address and the same thing happened again.
Ive seen other MSE'rs who retweet competitions all the time so i'm not sure why i keep getting blocked...
Ive managed to get back onto my original twitter again today and would love some advice on how not to get banned again!

Sometimes they need to verify you account and that you are not a spammer so you will need to confirm a telephone number on your account

if you get banned again just appeal it then continue but try not to do to much in one go, little and often if its a new account is the best way try and have conversations rather than just retweets etc

try and do some normal tweets rather than just comping ones-i use my normal account for both and never had a problem
