Hi there,

We are applying for a mortgage with NatWest at 95% LTV, through the Mortgage Guarantee Help to Buy scheme (NOT the loan scheme).

Before I instruct solicitors and surveyors, does anyone know if we HAVE to use the solicitors/surveyors that NatWest tell us to?

Or can we use anyone?

    You can use anyone as long as they are on the panel of natwest's approved solicitors.

    Get quotes and then ask the ones you want to go with if they're on the panel before instructing.

    Yes. Get quotes and ask them if they are on the panel. Then when you think you've found the one you want phone up natwest and check.
