There will be a lot more knowledgeable people than me along soon, and to help them out it would be useful to know both your and your wife's salaries, ages, and if either of you have any adverse credit history which has stopped you getting credit recently?
  • Who is the helper? Is the money a gift or a loan?
    Slummy mummy!
  • mortgage will be in my name cause got clean record, wife discharged bankrupt 2006. My salary roughly 28000 and wife about 26000- combined 54000. Helper( mother in law) is giving a gift.
