I know you said that you need the spare room for your sister but could you get a lodger just for say 3-6 months and use the spare money to clear a chunk of debt? Just to get the ball rolling? I was going to suggest it before but I wasn't sure how old your kid was as I'm sure lodgers and young kids would be difficult but would be easier with a 15 year old. They are out with their mates all the time at that age anyway, aren't they?LBM-November 2019 - Total Debt £28,000/PAID!0

Thanks for the suggestion (and sorry for late reply - had work trip and all sorts...)
Having lodgers isn't a big thing here but I will look into it, there might be students in need of a room or something. My son's a bit young for his age (mild autism) but loves people so it would just be a case of finding a suitable person.
I once again applied for a restructuring loan to cover all my old ones so I could pay less interest and costs per month, but I was denied. Here they don't have the same kind of credit scoring so it's safe to apply regularly, but something still blocked me from being approved.....
But no fear, I've made this month's payments and a bit extra to the CC with the highest interest. Slowly slowly.0 -
If lodging isn't a big thing in Finland, what about about AirBnBing the room ?
I have seen this mentioned by other MSE'ers.Never Knowingly Understood.
