im currently in Australia after completing a working holiday visa.
I have around $25k which i need to transfer back to gbp.
the exchange rate is a lot worse than when i came over, when would it be best to transfer back, is the rate likely to improve or get worse?
any advice?
thanks Luke

If any of us could accurately predict what exchange rates are going to do in the future, we'd be earning millions working in the big investment banks :-)
There are any number of sites available that will give you historical information, and some predictions. But at the end of the day, any prediction is an educated guess. Granted, probably a highly educated guess, based on many factors both locally and globally.
The best advice is to look at historical trends, watch the markets for a while, see what they're doing, and pick your time.0 -
I was looking at the forecasts the other day for the opposite reason and they seemed to indicate that the Australian dollar is likely to continue to weaken and then level off around Christmas.
Just one article that I read...
