Jeremy Corbyn wins economists’ backing for anti-austerity policies

Corbyn's detractors are being left dumbfounded and open mouthed at every turn.
Louise Mensch criticised him for being an anti semite whereas it was her own vile web search that she revealed.
Yvette Cooper slated him for fiscal naivety but fell over her own sums and now Corbynomics have been shown to add up.
Andy Burnham said something at a wine and cheese evening but the PA was on too low for anyone to hear him.
Liz Kendall bought a new handbag from Harvey Nicks and reminded the nation for the millionth time that she really really, really really, wants to be Labour Leader and then PM.0 -

This is one of your jokes I guess.
Normally they're much funnier.0 -

Wouldn't they have to be implemented be shown to add up?If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0 -

In the 80's a very sucesful campaign was won on the basis of anti left rhetoric.
Unions were bringing the country to its knees, wage inflation was destroying growth, and markets were shackled with too much regulation.
So laws governing unions were put on the statute books, wages were driven down.....and the city was allowed to run its own affairs.
Now we are dealing with the aftermath. So why the surprise that a popular anti right candidate is doing ok.
Don't forget, the £hit part of democracy is that you sometimes lose the vote........so just rejoice at that news.

So those who cut interest rates and use QE are morons. Would that include George Osborne?
George Osborne certainly does some moronic things, although he does do some good things too.
For example the Pension changes were very good as was increasing the ISA limits. But the "living wage" nonsense is both economically bad & pure politics. He's failed to restore the top rate of tax to what it was throughout Labour's time in power, which again is purely because of the political backlash he fears. His current offensive against the BTL brigade is economically nonsensical too, regardless of whether you think it's good or bad.0 -
I predict three things.
#1, Jeremy Corbyn is going to scare the life out of the neo-libs in New Labour by routing the other candidates in the leadership election. The Blairites will scuttle aside like crabs desperately trying to avoid being squashed by an angry walrus.
#2. The tories will mock and gloat their hands together.
#3. Election opinion polls are going to start coming in in 4 years that wipe the smiles right off their faces.
The future is Corbyn shaped.0 -

The future is Corbyn shaped.
So they'll be as accurate as the last set of opinion polls, then?0 -

Even in your worst nightmare you can't have imagined an early boomer as PM in 2020.
At this rate we'll have boomers running the country from care homes.0 -
.................the "living wage" nonsense is both economically bad & pure politics.............
Couldn't agree more comrade. Let us also hope that the dire political nonsense, that argues we should stop sending those under the age of twelve down the mines to dig coal is ended as well. It will lead to the wholesale closure of our mining industry.
......and don't get me started on the suggestion that we limit the working week to six days of no more than ten hours, it will be our ruin sir.

I predict that the Labour Party will rerun the whole process on the basis that "infiltration" has invalidated the election.
It will start with nominations from the parliamentary labour party......and who do you think I believe won't be on the new papers.
Don't underestimate how venal the low lifes on the labour right are. Their patron saint is a former prime minister don't forget.
