    Congratulations on your new daughter!
I'm sorry I don't have any advice, but we were in a similar situation with my son recently and all the driving to and fro the RVH was exhausting. You have my sympathies.
    Hoping her health improves soon.

    Good luck and best wishes
  • Just be as honest about your situation as you can be. The social worker won't judge but needs to understand exactly what support you need. Best of luck with this and with resolving your daughter's health issues.

  • She is doing well so far. Came through her bowel op last Thursday with no complications and is now breathing on her own and getting some of her mother's breast milk through a tube. They may be moving her to a more specialised cardiac ward today and we should find out more about the upcoming heart ops in London
We spoke to the social worker yesterday and they have made application to the Family Fund on an urgent basis. She said they should make a payment within 5 days
  • That's great news about your baby. She sounds like a real wee fighter.

Good luck with future ops. Hope all goes well and you get help from the Family fund.

Please keep us updated on her progress.
  • We received grants from the Family Fund and the Heartbeat Trust, both organised by the Royal themselves - wonderful staff. It is going to be a long long road but we have been able to take the first steps
  • I am so pleased you were able to get help. I hope baby continues to improve.

    Best wishes
