They should be able to issue an MCS certificate the same day as they commission it (check all of the electrics are operating correctly).
Can I just check something. You asked for an installer on the 26th, but had an install on the 4th?
If you got a good quote on the 27th, and signed up, that seems extremely tight on the rules and regs stating that you have to have at least 7 days to cool off ..... even if you don't want 'to cool off'.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

It was very late on Friday before they finished so hopefully Monday then for the MCS cert.Martyn1981 wrote: »They should be able to issue an MCS certificate the same day as they commission it (check all of the electrics are operating correctly).
I signed a disclaimer over the cooling off period and paid the 25% deposit. I'm off on Wednesday early and won't be back in the UK for a while so wanted this done ASAP, that's why I'm keen on getting the FIT issue sorted before I go away. I take it the spark has to do the tests and then provide the info back to the main company, do they actually issue the cert themselves or does it need to go somewhere to be issued?Martyn1981 wrote: »Can I just check something. Have you paid the balance to your installer yet? If not then they won't issue the cert until then as it's YOUR ticket to claiming the FiT and THEIR guarantee to getting paid.how long should this take please?2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -
Only 1 array installed so far, the other array isn't finished yet. Apart from some snagging to be done. The installers are VERY aware of my time limitations. I'm sure we'll strike an agreement. I just wanted to know where the MCS cert came from. Thanks.Have you paid the balance to your installer yet?
