Leeds Building Society - Valuation Survey on 24/08 - Still chance of no offer?

Been trying to purchase a new build house for about 6 months now. Using an IFA, and originally approved by Woolwich, and then I spent some money on my credit card and at point of application they declined me saying I had too much debt! Paid my cards off, removed 2 x late payment markers and got a DIP from Leeds Building Society at the beginning of last week. Everything looked like it was finally working out!
However, IFA has advised that there will be an employment reference check done. The way I am paid is very funny owing to working on projects, although I am full time permanent and have been for 6 years. Half of my salary (£20k) comes from a big payroll pot, and half of it comes from the project budget. On speaking to Personnel at work they advised that because the latter half comes from Projects that cannot be guaranteed it probably wouldn't show up on my reference - in other words halfing my salary. p60s/4 years worth of payslips can prove my total income.
Cut to chase...
Today, I was told by the house builder that an LBS Valuation Survey is being carried out on new property on Monday 24/08. I'd have expected that they would not have bothered sending someone out should there still be a chance of rejection owing to this employer reference....but what do you think? I would have expected this to be the last stage prior to offer? Any Experience/Broker/Mortgage Underwriter opinion greatly appreciated

My buyer had a valuation done with Leeds but was then rejected due to something to do with her employment.0

Thanks - any further advice would be beneficial.0

All I can say about the Leeds is to run far and run fast. Took us almost 5 months to even get a valuation. Constantly asking for documents you have already given them weeks ago.
We would have lost the house, had we tried to persevere with these clowns. Read the reviews. I did but I figured people only moan when it goes wrong and these issues only happened to a very small minority. More fool me.0
