Leave a Flexible job for a Higher Paid one

Currently working for a company which allows 1 day from home and are pretty flexible overall. 1 hr drive.
I've been offered a new position elsewhere for a 11 grand a year rise but will have to be on call 1 in 4 weekends. and sounds like it will be alot less flexible. again 1 hr drive away.
I have 1 small child and another on the way soon. Would it be worth sacrificing the flexibility for more pay.

I guess you have to ask yourself a few questions:
1) Can my family live (comfortably) on my current wage? If not, I should probably snap up a chance for a higher wage.
2) How important is that flexibility? Is there any chance of similar flexibility at your new job?
3) Could this be a good career advancement opportunity? If so, I would seriously consider accepting.
I guess it's whether you can afford not to take the pay rise?0 -
I know what I would be doing here and that is accepting the job and stashing the cash away if it is not needed.0

Only you can decide that.
What made you apply for the job in the first instance?0 -
Main reasons were money and the fact I will be able to use more of my skills in this role as I'm currently pretty unchallenged.0

It depends on which you need more the money or the flexiablity if money is tight now with another child on way it be harder. It depends what your partner does and if you need to be at home on that flexiable day.
Another thing to consider you say be on call 1 week end in 4. How often do they get called on average? What do you have to do , just take phone call or go into work if get called and do you get paid extra if go in.0
