Halifax Deposit Query

Hi Guys.

Thanks for all your advice so far.

My partner is £2000 short for the deposit (the rest is from his savings). The Broker told Halifax that he would save the £2000 by completion but they weren't too convinced so he told them that he is actually being gifted some money towards the house.

He is being gifted some money but it is coming from my parents (mortgage is only going to be in his name).

His sister is happy to say she has gifted the money and transfer it to him after my parents have transferred to her but will this suffice?

Or my parents can transfer to her husband, who sends it to her who then sends it to my partner?!

Hope that makes sense

Not really sure of what way round it!

Thanks in advance

so you are committing fraud / moneylaundering
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

What happens when the lender or solicitor asks to see the paper trail?

Ask your broker who the gift can come from and get it from them. Do it right or not at all
