Caffeine free

Don't go for Tetley's decaff tea - there is no taste and you'll need to use at least 8 tea bags per cup (which doesn't leave much room).
PG Tips is the way to go for decaff, the box is red. My mum switched to decaff in their house a few months back and no one noticed until I saw her filling up the pot one day and I commented.
Be careful of green tea as it does have caffeine in it naturally, you can buy decaff versions though.
I'm also not a fan of plain water but make myself drink it, I tend to cut up lemons and limes to give it some flavour and lots of ice. I have a jug on my desk in work that I know is a litre so drink at least that whilst I'm there.
The orange lucozade sport that's still has no caffeine it it - I have checked the ingredients a lot.
I like being caffeine free - it gives me a sense of achievement! My debt free diary

Don't forget that decaff coffee does still have a very small amount of caffeine in it.
So between approx between 1-5mg depending on how strong the coffee has been made.
Don't forget chocolate contains caffeine.

Calley
Thanks for pointing this out. I'd switched to decaf coffee a few weeks ago for health reasons and assumed I was now caffeine free and now have to rethink again! I genuinely had no idea that decaf just meant less caffeine rather than none at all

I've always found it weird how I can drink decaf tea and coffee as well as eat chocolate - I had to give it a go, if I was going to give up my normal coffee, I wasn't going to give up chocolate without a fight and it doesn't affect me at all! Give me a normal cup of coffee and I'm very sick before long. I'm not complaining though, I prefer chocolate

Hanb - I'm exactly the same as you! Must mean there's very little in chocolate. Then again I only eat dark chocolate so does that make a difference? My debt free diary

Poor you! I'd be distraught if I had to give up my Guatemalan Elephant Beans!
Seriously though, in your situation, my drink of choice would be a herbal tea of some sort.
I second Rummer's idea of having a slice of lemon in a glass of water - I often do this, and it's very refreshing, specially if the water is chilled (I keep a couple of bottles of tapwater in the fridge).
Also, for some reason, totally psychological of course, water tastes better served in a wine glass!:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Just out of interest, why San Pellegrino? there are lots of flavoured fizzy waters out there, cheaper and not owned by Nestle
I drink Rooibos (redbush) tea all the time - real tea is too tea-y for me
I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
I'm not a huge fan of plain water but have recently bought a water infusing bottle for a few squid! It's a drinks bottle with an internal core into which you put fruit, lemon, lime ginger I prefer, soft fruits not so. Seeing as you drink a lot it may be worth getting a couple so you have a constant supply.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

I gave up caffeine when I was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat which has gone away since I stopped drinking so much tea. I now drink decaf tea and have got into some fruit teas more recently. I also put a splash of lime cordial in plain water just to make it more interesting.Make £2026 in 2026

i have been advised to reduce the caffeine also. i was off it for a year but fell off the wagon.
i hate bottled water (i think its stagnant)
cordial is filled with flavouring that leaves me more thirsty.
so my advice decaff coffee kenko is lovely, there is a small amount of caffeine. however, some of the decaffination process uses chemicals and other uses water pressure. however, as the amount of caffeine can be high still it may not be appropriate.
what i dis was i bought one box of nearly every fruit tea in aldi and tesco, i really like aldi peach and raspberry.0 -
As a fellow caffeine addict I can only sympathise.
I'm on a high fluid, high salt diet for health reasons and can't stand water/squash.
The only way I can drink it is freezing cold, with ice and with lots of sliced lemon in it. I have a freezer that delivers water cold enough and my mum slices bag loads of lemons in bulk for me to chuck in and leave to develop for a few minutes before I drink it.0
