Possible win advice

On the 28th June I received a phone call from someone from the telegraph saying I had won a competition, the line was really bad and I was in a meeting in work so I did not catch the competition that I won, I did however confirm my address.

Now I realise I should have persisted with the phone call and taken note of the lady calling and what competition it was but at the time I was getting funny looks so needed to be off the phone and with the bad line I just gave a thanks very much and ended the call.

To date I haven't received any prize so I contacted the telegraph by email enquiring about the competition, I have advised them of all the competitions I had entered in the month before I took the call, however, they have basically replied saying they can't help without information about who called or what the competition was.

So my question is do I just put this down to experience and know better for next time or is there anything else I can do to try and find out what I won and where it is?

Ask them to track the call back if you still have the log to the exact date/time?

Have you tried ringing them yet? If not, try that and they will most likley be alot more helpful when they are on the phone

Looks like they are a SAE job for winners names so a search is probably not going to help.

The call was withheld and I no longer have the log as it is too old so it's no longer there, I do recall that they phoned at 11.30am.

I will try ringing, is there anything that I can say/do which might help?

Sadly on their comps that I looked at the winners names were only available by sending a SAE and that had to be within a month of the comp closing.

When you call if they cannot put you through to someone without knowing which competition it was just pick one of the ones it might be so you speak to someone who deals with promotions rather than just the switchboard, if it turns out not to be the right one they might be able to help anyway and if not just call back and repeat with another one of the possible competitions (assuming you get free calls).

Have you checked emails, perhaps in your junk folder as, when I won a competition with them, they also emailed confirmation afterwards, on the same day
