Been with Natwest for over 7 years

Hi guys,
This post kind of coincides with another i put up in the Credit Card section but think its better suited for here.
I currently bank with Natwest and have done so for the past 7 or so years. I have my current account, savings account and ISA with them. I know that the rates are not the best with Natwest but have always thought that when it comes to me applying for my mortgage, being with the same provider for X amount of years would go in my favour? As they have all of my records and can see how effective/responsible i am with money.
Would i be correct in thinking this or is it all just done purely by credit score and income/expenditure etc? What i am trying to find out is if and when i apply for my mortgage would i get the same treatment as someone who has never banked with Natwest, or would they possibly offer me a better deal because i have banked (and never had less than £2k in my current account) with them for so long?
Cheers,

You would think so wouldn't you but regardless my partner has been with Nationwide for around 15 years. They still wanted her to provide bank statements and even her proof of deposit which was all saved through her Nationwide savings accounts.
I guess my point is the underwriters will probably want all the info right in front of them, rather than you saying "go have a look for it yourself".
I know sometimes they have exclusive deals to current account customers or people who have saved with specific "Save to buy" accounts etc. so don't discount that.0 -
If you are an important enough customer in their eyes to have a relationship manager assigned, then they can help if decisions are at the margin. I managed to tease another £5k on the mortgage by getting my relationship manager to talk to the mortgage department.
Don't know if you can get the same assistance just by going into your branch.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Your relationship will count for something. Though the mortgage department won't have access to the broader detail of your files. As there will be barriers to conform with Data Protection issues.0

Thanks for the replies.
That is what i am trying to work out is if my long term relationship with them would count for anything at all and then therefore worth me staying with them despite the fairly crap interest rates, on my accounts.

Do you shop at the same supermarket every week.
Go the same pub every week
Buy your clothes only from George ( ASDA)
No
Then shop around for the Best mortgage deal to suit your needs
Not pop into the local bank and pick from 10/12 products
Maybe time to find a Whole of market mortgage broker
Worth the money in most cases0
