Hello, I'm a blogger, I was asked if my son wanted to be part of an exclusive blogger campaign where he had to make a design using Lego.
There are 60 entrants, and the competition doesn't close until the 24th of August. Yesterday I recieved an email asking how my son was getting on, I have not uploaded his entry onto my blog yet, due to my fear of his design being copied!
Today I received this reply, and to me it seems as though the winner may of already been picked? Or even worse there is no prize, though I doubt this is the case as I know the winner is going to be contacted directly?
Reply I received today;
I feel bad now that we only have one winner, but I’ll be sure to give you lots of feedback on the finished item that you can pass to him to make him feel that his entry has really been noticed, in case he doesn’t get a win.
ENDS
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but something is just screaming at me saying it's all fishy!

Not saying it is the case but you could read their reply simply to mean that they have already had entries of quality where lots of effort has been put in and they wish they could give more than one prize and although they cannot they will acknowledge the efforts made even if an entry is not the winner.0

Reads to me like she's saying she feels bad that there can only be one winner, as it's kids and much effort is being put in - she's just worded it slightly wrongly/missed a word out.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
Blogger posting a blogger only comp, wow there's a thing
I agree it does sound a bit fishy, but also she may have just worded it wrong.
Not much help really, sorry.2017 wins = £1350
2016 wins = £125 (18 months off comps)
2015 wins = £6,460
2014 wins = £1,3500 -
Thank you for your replies, now reading it again I can see the email may of been worded incorrectly.
Points are being given for categories so hopefully it will be fair
I have posted a lot, and this is the first time I've spoke about a blogging only competition. I was a member of these forums before I become a blogger, and even though I'm now established I always check over here daily!
Sadly don't have time for many competitions these days, my son is in the process of being* seen at the local hospital as his school believe he may have ASD with other learning difficulties present, my blog is now my full time job, I've just moved homes, gone from a flat to a house with a lot of work to do.
I've contributed over the years to add competitions, it just seems I am slow, I've spent hours checking competitions just to find they're already here. I do love the MSE community.
Thank you all again for your replies0
