DRO- Barclaycard requesting Financial Statement

I've had a DRO in place since early June.

Today I received a letter form Barclaycard saying they needed full details of my income and expenditure.

I don't have to give them this do I?

If their debt was included in the DRO then I'd have thought no, but I'm not an expert.

I sent any correspondence I received during my DRO back to sender with the DRO number firmly printed on it in red ink.

    Hi Teacup,

    Welcome to MSE.

Lucy5781 is right, if the debt is included within the DRO and the DRO is still running, then you are not required to send them this information.

I would suggest you send a letter to Barclaycard with details of your DRO reference number and if they continue to request information from you then make a formal complaint under the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines on the basis of harassment (as they are chasing a debt they cannot enforce). If necessary you can escalate the matter to the FOS after that.

Thank you, and thank you Lucy5781.

My initial thought was to tell them this was under a DRO and to leave me alone, but then I had doubts. I read the stuff from the CAB and IS over and over but just couldn't convince myself.

I will finish the letter I started.
Interesting they send a physical form to fill in but then say you have to phone or email them…
I'm sure I can find an address somewhere.
