ive got one and it certainly isnt soft or saggy. i like a softer bed so have the sprung slats, my other half has the solid slats which make it a lot harder (lol). dont buy one of their really cheap mattresses - i can't remember the name of ours but it has memory foam and camel hair or summat like that . ikea beds are so much roomier'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

I agree with suesmith,we have an Ikea super king with their best mattress which comes in 2 parts and the sprung slats, at the time of the purchase there was a half price deal on their mattress toppers, again we bought the expensive one.
I can honestly say that it is by far the best bed we have ever had, we have had it for 2 years and there is no sagging or roll together.
I'm afraid I cannot remember the mattress name. sorry.0 -
Crafty IKEA, you buy a bed then find its Metric, so u have to buy their mattresses!:eek:I agree with suesmith,we have an Ikea super king with their best mattress which comes in 2 parts and the sprung slats, at the time of the purchase there was a half price deal on their mattress toppers, again we bought the expensive one.

A friend found a problem with the continental sized bed....it wouldn't fit his UK sized entranceway/stairs. He had to take it all the way back to Ikea!0

I had never been to Ikea until recently. I had heard many mixed reviews about them, but I decided to keep an open mind.
Well there was a mixture of quite good sturdy furniture, some that looked like the old MFI reborn (would collapse in a strong wind), and some really good ideas.
However when I looked at their mattresses I honesly couldn't believe how poor the quality was (like many mattresses from the continent). As for value for money which is something that Ikea are well known for, well forget it, you would be better going to a UK bed company, and paying the extra for a special size mattress.
All I can think is that those people in this thread who love their Ikea mattresses can't have had avery good quality mattress previously.
On the plus side, they do sell some interesting beds that are quite attractive, but just go for the sturdy ones.
By the way, I like their smoked elk sausage.0
