Quick question to gym users

Just a quick question (though feel free to expand if you wish). If you use a gym, in the shower rooms, what's the ceiling like?
I've been to many gyms in my time, more often than not the ceiling is covered in black mould spores. Some get cleaned but not fully (the mould exists still in the corners of the ceiling and walls) but many do not get cleaned.
Has anyone had any luck with getting this cleaned and would it be classed as a health and safety thing? (eg can a gym be forced to clean this and so are the current mould-spore-filled showers who are allowing this to exist breaking the law?)
OK, so more than one question- but the first question was the main one

I've seen a couple of gyms where the change rooms were mouldy. As a result I didn't join.
Currently I use my work gym. £2.50/wk and the place is spotless.
I'd join a decent gym if I were you. If you need to go to the council to get the place cleaned.....yuck.0
