On the last two occasions, I have taken the advice on the MSE forums to cancel as soon as the £1 is taken from the bank.

Never had a problem, they just kept coming.

Done the same this time.

I had it written in to my diary to cancel but they took the full £33 before this date, even though I haven't had the full 12 issues. I rang them and they are refunding me the £33, no issues. So I would err on the side of caution.

did anyone not have this go through at all? Have just put the tree up and was thinking about the christmas radio times and remembered I'd subscribed and not received it. My order is showing (no status), I have confirmation emails but never had the mag. Just need to check now if the DD has been set up so i can cancel it! And whether the £1 ever went out. :mad:

Yes same here. I've also had a letter confirming the dd - which hasn't been taken yet.
It's been a few weeks so I'm going to contac them.

Not sure why this has been sent to the "it's gone" board - if you click on the link, the price is still £1 (although it's now too late to get the Christmas special edition)

I rang them about mine and for some reason they had me down for a start date in Jan!
I've asked them to change it to immediately and they said I should get the xmas issue. Fingers crossed.
