Tax relief on contributions

Options
Eleven working days to go.

I'm thinking about putting in a final contribution of around #6000 into my SHP to get a little tax relief bonus. My employer and I have contributed about #4000 so far this tax year and my earnings from 6 Apr to 31 Aug will be about #10000, so I'm assuming that's all legal and above board.

One question though: do I have to pay it in before I finish up or can I do it later between my employment end date and the end of the tax year?

Sorry, if that's been asked before.

yeah so long as it's done during the same tax year it's fine.

one point - if you earn £10,000 gross this year, you can only contribute £10,000 gross this year, if you're contributing from net pay, your tax relief needs to be included with the £10,000.
