I don't think i've got the energy to do anything about this other than clear this debt as quickly as possible...
To be honest, its entirely up to you how you treat your creditors, if you can get a good full and final settlement on any of your accounts, then I would do so, they may settle for a lot less, if you ask them.
It would get them out of your hair, so to speak.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi,
I'm certain the debt belongs to me although I've never heard of Mackenzie Hall. Yes, I'm paying them a pro rata payment and no my debts won't be gone in 5 months - I'm hoping to have paid the 6k off by the end of Summer 2016.
.... That's not pro rata then my friend

If you had read my earlier reply you will see that I thought I owed around £400 so please don't roll your eyes at me.0

This issue has been sorted now. PRA have informed me that my debt has gone down significantly because it seems that two DCA have the debt. I have been making payments to both these creditors believing they are separate debts (they have different reference numbers) but actually they are one and the same. Subsequently, the debt is being paid off quicker, so what I believed to be around the £400 mark is nearer £100 now. Mystery solved. Now I just need to contact the other DCA and remove them from the DMP, although it might be easier just to pay the whole thing off quickly and strike two more DCA off my list.0
