We need a new kettle, simply because the the ago old thing that the plastic mesh lime scale filter is disintegrating. I've been told there are kettles about that have metal filters but despite lifting the lids on many, have yet to discover one.
We've googled unsuccessfully too. So, if you have such a kettle, we would be pleased to hear about it please.

Alessi kettles used to have have metal filters, you would need to check their current range. However they are not very MSE.0

Check out metal ones - I have an oldish Asda metal kettle which has a metal mesh. Dunno if they still do them - is an own-brand, similar shape to the Breville one here http://direct.asda.com/Breville-VKJ761-1.7L-Opula-Traditional-Kettle---Moonstone/001579653,default,pd.html0

As a sequel to this sad story, a replacement was found in Asda. We then went to lunch elsewhere, after leaving the restaurant, we realised we had left the ruddy kettle behind and needed to rush back. Thankfully it had been handed in.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
