I bought Advance tickets today for 11th November, since I made a note of them going on sale 12 weeks before. This was with Virgin Trains. Trainline let me sign up to be reminded when tickets went on sale for the 12 weeks mark!0

Virgin maintain an Advance fares calendar that shows when Advance tickets for their trains become available - the link is halfway down the 'book early' section on the left hand side of this web page

Note that Advance tickets for weekends and holday periods often go on sale later than 12 weeks before the travel date, as they have to make sure there are no engineering works planned and those schedules are not always available that early.0 -
