sorry for being so dramatic!!!
usually when you go to asda just before closing you can buy marked down fresh ready meals (the 2 for £5 and what not) and usually the tills get this worng and you get the 2 dishes for next to nothing. BUT TNITE........ it 'voided' all this so theres me with my basket of TEN marked down meals ready for my freezer and had to pay £2 for each one!!!
this little bonus used to compensate for the fact that my local Asda (a small asda) blatantly refuse to accpt money off vouchers for items you havent bought!!!
so tHAT IS IT with me and that asda now!!! it looks like they have cottoned on to it all now

Tesco's too.
In fact, thinking about it, my Asda had notices up on the Reduced items chiller cabinet ages ago, saying that multibuy purchase offers wouldn't apply to reduced items any longer.
Got 2 bags of mandarins for 40p yesterday at Sainsburys, still perfectly fresh and edible ;D0 -
I find that buying fruit at reduced prices means I can take it home and actually eat it. Whereas if I buy fruit at full price - it just sits in the fruit bowl waiting to ripen for days especially pears and plums!0

Yeah, that is just SOOO annoying! There it sits rock hard and inedible for DAYS! And try telling the kids they can't have it yet....doh! I do the old trick of putting the unripe fruit near some ripe bananas, to speed up the process but it's still a bind.0
