Women's work suit - made to measure

I am looking to update my wardrobe. I would like to get a made to measure suit. I suppose it should be a wool suit. I have seen some people online quoting £700 for good quality fabric and made to measure - but this is too expensive for me. I have a very small waist which makes off the shelf items not fit properly.

Have you looked at the price of alterations? Buy a ready-made suit and have it professionally fitted.

I do not really know which brand to get. Most of the clothes in Next & John Lewis etc. seem to be polyester. I am looking for some good quality that I can wear for years and will not start to get those bobbles on it after a few wears.

This site does made to measure cheaper, and I am looking at ordering one from them in the next few weeks, so this may be worth a try. Maybe others on here could comment if they have tried them? I will post on here when I order and receive mine.


I did buy a suit from Ted baker, then have it altered, which also worked, but as I don't live near a good alterations place, and don't drive it was a pain to have done, but another good alternative.
