Social life? Is that some new kind of plant they've found in the Amazon?

Once a week I get on a bus (or walk, as the recent case may be) and travel about 13miles to my BFs house, stay the night then come home the following day. Since being sacked in March my social life has been put on hold, I'll not die if I don't have one.
Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:
This time I'm on top of it! We live and learn :coffee:

    I struggle with this.

Between lipstick and white wine I am always spending more than I should.

But when I was a very poor student we used to have Friday Night Dinners where we cooked up a massive chilli / curry / stew/ spag bol etc and all our guests had to bring booze -and cutlery! (we had loads of plates!) :D

I met one of my best mates in the world because he stuck a knife and fork in his jeans back pocket and followed the herd one friday evening! (We sent him to the offie before we'd let him in!)

Before that because we had a place of our own and none of our other friends did, we'd throw "Pay Parties" where we'd provide food, drink, music, and just somewhere to hang out basically - and charge a fee on the door.

All my mates have got too much money these days though!

    Love Jacks xxx :D

  • If you live in Scotland and are disabled or a pensioner You can get free days out all over Scotland. Disadvantage is if you go too far, you need to take one or maybe 2 meals with you. Or eat out, but at least you do get a free day out. Whetherspoons restaurants have 2 meals for 8.99 That is not a bad price.
Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time
