Need some honest advice

Hi Guys
I have been reading this forum for a while now and have read some really helpful stuff.
My partner and I have seen a house that we love - we have been renting for 10 years! The house is £210,000.
My partner earns £48000 a year and has a clean credit history.
I earn £25000 a year and have a disappointing colourful past! I had several pay day loans back in 2012 and have had a several odd late payments, although none in the past 2 years. I currently have an overdraft of £1000 and I am paying off a £3000 credit card.
My question is, do I stand any chance of being approved for a mortgage. I dont want my partner to become financially linked to me via a mortgage app if it is going to ruin any chance he has got of getting credit.
We have a 10% deposit which is partly his savings and partly a gifted deposit from my parents.
This whole thing is making me feel horrific - your truly live and learn from your past mistakes!
I know that the advise will probably be speak to a broker, but I just dont have the courage to pick up the phone and tell them my shameful history ..... or hear the words, 'no chance'!

Yes.My question is, do I stand any chance of being approved for a mortgage?
Don't be soft, we've heard it all.
Obtain all three versions of your credit file and put them in front of an independent broker.
We want to get paid and that only happens if we get your mortgage to completion.
Yes we charge a £250 fee on submission of an application, but that is usually a lot less than the lender commission on completion.I am a mortgage broker.
