Halifax Experian Credit Check Help

Hello,
My mortgage application went in last week with Halifax and I am currently waiting to hear back. A few days prior to my application being submitted I cleared £2000 of a £4000 credit card debt. I have just checked on my experian account and noticed that the debt is still sat at £4000 and that Halifax have ran a check on my account. I was hoping that the debt would have been reduced by the time Halifax carried out there check. Does anyone know if they will have seen the same figures as the one I have on my experian account currently? Do Halifax carry out another check before there final decision? I was hopeful that my debt would have been reduced in time as to favor my application.
Thanks.

Halifax only gets its Experian updates around the middle of the month, so it you did it after about 14 July, it won't be on Halifax system until Friday.
We ensure we get the last statement balance and note anything to be repaid on or before completion to ensure we avoid the lag between providers updating their records and mortgage lenders getting their CRA updates.I am a mortgage broker.
