1 Bed Apartments

Hi,

I'm having to relocate and was wondering if anyone on here knew about the quality of 1 bed apartments in Belfast or where is the best place to look/apply?

I've only been looking on the main two property sites at present.

There seems to be some places within budget off the Malone Road which surprised me. However, I did notice they were Economy 7 and 12 month contracts. Does anyone know what quality these would be?

I had my eye on the 1 bed apartment block beside the Hospital on Lisburn Road - again any stories here I should know about?

My other option is to rent out a room in a house share, but TBH - I'm at an age that is beyond this now.

Any helpful advice appreciated.

Thanks.

On the heating, you will find even now small apartments like one bed apartments will still have Economy 7 Storage Heaters. They are still a low cost option for smaller accommodation over boilers and are still made by companies like Dimplex etc..... even more efficient now than the old one's people would be used to seeing

On the actual locations, Sorry, I have no idea....

try property pal , property news ,or gumtree .
Check out the EPC before renting .
Some agents such as quick let will charge you a fee .
If the property has been on the market for a while try to negotiate the rent .Check the crime stats

Most 1 bed apartments will be economy 7 and you generally talking 12 months contracts, although it will often go on to a rollingcontract after the year.

Are you talking about the apartment block at the top of ulsterville avenue - it nice, and is quite new.

I second the above - gumtree, property pal and property news.
May alos be worth phoning some estate agents especially the rental ones GOC and Nexus spring to mind.

I had a one bed on camden Street opposite the city hospital and loved the location but the flat wasn't great quality, but it suited me fine.
